Amanda "Mandy Mack" McKaughan - Owner

Amanda

Having provided professional pet sitting for over 23 years, you will find that Mandy's personal attention, experience, and knowledge in pet services are reflected by happy customer testimonials on the reference page.

Mandy is experienced as a Veterinarian Technician, Kennel Manager, Wildlife Way Station Volunteer, Horse Therapy Assistant, Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) Organizer, Domestic and Exotic Animal Rescuer, National Race Horse Trainer and International Jockey.

Mandy has volunteered at the Kountze Animal Shelter and Kountze Trade Days Adoption Booth (4th weekend of each month). She also gives her time as a Spanish Translator to The Julie Roger's Gift of Life Program. Mandy is certified in Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburg in Scotland.

Mandy Mack retired from Horseracing as a successful Multi Stakes Placing Trainer in order to dedicate her life to the welfare of all animals big and small. She chooses Southeast Texas as her home since finding a real need for professional pet sitting in the Beaumont and surrounding areas. Mandy discovered a desperate need to rescue animals here due to the lack of neuter laws in Texas.

Mandy earned her BA in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin. She graduated locally from Monsignor Kelly High School. Using her broadcasting skills, Mandy co-anchored television horse racing news programs, "Handicapper's Report" and "The Backstretch". Mandy was the first female newscaster to host the International Satelite Wagering Network telecast from Los Angeles, CA.

She's lived in Europe, Mexico and traveled extensively throughout Russia, Canada and the good ol' USA...all the while saving and sitting animals.

Animals are Amanda's life.

...just note that huge Maine Lobster in her hands.

Erin Williamson - Social Media Coordinator & Pet Sitter

Erin Williamson, Social Media Coordinator & Pet Sitter

Erin started working at Ark O' Noah Pet Sitting in late 2014! Like Mandy, she also graduated from Kelly High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Communication. Unlike Mandy, she graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2009! Along with her Communication degree, she earned a minor in Recreation, Parks, & Tourism Sciences plus two associates degrees from Blinn College; English/Humanities and  Science. Despite attending rival schools, Erin and Mandy get along famously!

Erin's career studies prepared her for her most rewarding animal adventure of all! She interned at Walt Disney World® in Orlando, FL. Erin worked as a safari guide at Kilimanjaro Safaris® at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park! Her role involved educating guests about each wild species while touring the animal attraction, allowing tourists to observe real, free-roaming African wildlife.

Erin's main expertise is in reptile and aquatic husbandry. She has a softshell turtle named Sheldon. Erin has amassed a worldwide online following on her YouTube channel, where she posts informative, softshell turtle care videos. Erin's comet goldfish pond is an extension of her childhood where she began caring for Carolina box turtles, African clawed frogs, and a variety of fish. Amazingly enough, some of those same creatures are still thriving today! Erin has chosen Ark O’ Noah Pet Sitting to get what she calls a, “furry animal fix!"

Married since 2010 to her husband, Mike, the pair own a local rental property business. Erin spends her spare time maintaining Ark O' Noah Pet Sitting's social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube and visiting our furry clients.

Erin deeply understands the anxiety that comes when you leave your pet in another person’s care. She admits to micromanaging her own pet sitter! She wants all Ark O’ Noah Pet Sitting clients to know that she puts the same amount of compassion & diligent care into their animals as she does with her own.

Ashley Wheeler - Ark O' Noah Pet Sitter

Ashley Wheeler, Ark O' Noah Pet Sitter

Ashley has been an outstanding addition to the Ark O' Noah Pet Sitting team! She is based in Mid-County & helps us out with in-home visits & boarding for clients who live in the Nederland area. She recently got married! Ashley is completely devoted to her new husband, stepson, & two sweet fur babies, a Pomeranian named Emma & a Chihuahua named Little. Besides her husband, her dogs are her best friends! Ashley attends Lamar University and is studying nursing. Yet caring for animals will always be a lifelong passion! Like many of you, she would do anything to save an animal! Ashley also knows the worry and concerns most pet parents have while away from home. With true compassion for both owner and pet, she treats every client's fur babies just like they are her own! They will get LOTS of love, cuddles, and kisses. Every dog with Ashley will have the opportunity to run & play in her huge yard & sleep inside her cozy home. Without a doubt, your babies are in good hands with Ashley! We are proud to have her on our team!

Erin Bowman - Pet Sitter

Erin Bowman, Pet Sitter

Erin is a proud Beaumont native and a graduate of Hardin Jefferson High School. After her high school graduation, she moved to Huntsville, TX to study Elementary Education at Sam Houston State University. After graduating college, she lived in Friendswood, TX and taught pre-kindergarten at a Houston ISD school for five years. She moved back to the Golden Triangle in 2009 to be closer to family, and has taught pre-k in the area since her move.

Erin has volunteered with various local rescues in our area and appreciates the incredibly rewarding, yet very difficult work they do. She enjoyed the experience of fostering dogs for several years, but eventually fell in love with two of her little fosters and adopted them. This "foster failure" experience brought her fur family up to 4!

In her free time, Erin enjoys reading and spending time with her new fiancé and their four beloved dogs!
